Negotiations to extend leisure management contract

West Oxfordshire District Council will enter negotiations with Greenwich Leisure Limited (GLL) to extend its leisure management contract to 2032.

An independent review found that continuing with GLL offers the best value for money and will help protect and enhance local leisure services ahead of future changes to local government in Oxfordshire.

The extension will support the Council’s £3.5 million improvement programme for centres in Witney, Carterton and Chipping Norton, making them more accessible and energy-efficient.

Final terms are expected to be agreed in the coming months.
