About our area

Ducklington Civil Parish

The Civil Parish of Ducklington covers both the Village of Ducklington and the surrounding area.

The northern boundary is clearly physically identified as seperated from Witney by the A40. The Eastern boundary is also clearly physically identified by the path of one of the legs of the river Windrush.

Outside of the village the Parish is a mix of ancient woodlands and active farming.

Our parish is currently, along with others in the Windrush valley, experiencing gravel extraction works and work is under way to restore some of these into natural and bio-diverse habitats.

There us a conservation area within our parish refecting the architectural and cultural importance of the local Cotswold identity. We are very proud of our village and the Parish Council works hard to maintain the amenities, identity, culture and traditions of this rural Oxfordshire village.
