St Bartholomew’s Rambling Group
The Rambling Group invites villagers from Ducklington, surrounding villages and Witney to join us on Saturdays at 10.00am for a countryside walk.
We welcome parents with smaller children in large wheel strollers, and dogs on a lead.
We tend to concentrate on local routes, and aim for walks to be 1-2 hours in duration. We pace ourselves, and don’t mind more adventurous walkers leading the pack, and will support slower walkers bringing up the rear.
At some point on the walk we usually stop for a drink and a brief reflection.
The following dates have been earmarked for walks:
11th July
8th August
12th September
10th October
14th November
12th December
For more information contact Johan Schoema at LLM2@ducklingtonchurch.org.uk

2026 Standlake Fireworks Display
1st Standlake & Cokethorpe Sea Scout Group
Standlake Village Hall
Saturday 7th November 2026
Gates Open: 18:00
Food tent and stalls open: 18:00
Bonfire lighting: 18:45
Fireworks: 19:00
The money raised from this event is vital to our ability to provide the ongoing, adventurous and fun activities that really make a lasting impact on local young people. They allow us to keep our boats, canoes and kayaks on the water, our vehicles and trailers for them safe and operational. Without our volunteers and our fundraising we would not be able to do all of our great activities. We strongly believe that scouting should be available to all and we are immensely grateful for your support at our events.
Going to the Fireworks? Support a local charity that works with young people at the same time.
