🎭 3-Day Musical Mayhem this February half term!
This February half term, The Theatre Chipping Norton is bringing its 3-Day Musical Mayhem workshop to Carterton Community Centre.
Over three fun-packed days, children will sing, dance and act as they work together to create and perform a mini musical. Led by experiened theatre practitioners, the workshop is designed to be energetic, inclusive and confidence-boosting, making it a brilliant opportunity for young people to explore performance in a supportive environment close to home.

The power of community business - free workshop
Tuesday 3 February | 6pm–8:30pm

Do you have an idea that could benefit your community?
Whether it’s saving a local asset, starting a much-needed service, or taking over a business at risk of closing — this friendly, practical workshop is for you.
This session is ideal for groups who are:
✔️ Thinking about taking ownership of a rural asset
✔️ Creating new local services or facilities where there’s a gap
✔️ Interested in taking on an existing business facing retirement or closure.
You’ll be introduced to the co-operative business model, with a focus on community ownership. Learn how co-ops work in practice, why they’re successful values-led businesses, and how they can help your community thrive.
Expect an informative, interactive and welcoming session that will help you decide whether the co-op model is right for your idea.
Led by: Alice Hemming, local Co-operative Development Worker from Co-operative Futures.

Your chance to experience electric vehicles

Whether you're curious about making the switch to electric or just want to learn more, this is a great opportunity to speak with experts, explore the latest EV models, and even take one for a test drive.

Step out, feel good and meet new faces
Looking for a simple way to move a little more, enjoy some fresh air, and connect with people in your community this new year?
Move Together are hosting a series of Witney and Carterton Wellbeing Walks, and everyone is welcome to join in.
Wellbeing Walks are free, friendly and relaxed, designed to help people of all abilities get out and about, move their bodies at a comfortable pace, and enjoy a chat along the way.
Whether you’re new to walking groups or already love getting outdoors, these walks are a great opportunity to be active and social in a supportive setting.
All you need is sensible footwear, a drink and clothing suitable for the weather – then just turn up and enjoy the walk.
Walk details:
Tuesdays | 2:00pm
Meet outside Nuffield Health Centre, Witney - an hour-long walk
Wednesdays | 2:00pm
Leaving from Windrush Leisure Centre - a gentle 35–45 minute walk
Thursdays | 9:15am
Leaving from Carterton Community Centre - a 45-minute walk around Kilkenny Country Park
☕ Free coffee morning at the centre from 10.30am
These walks are about more than just fitness, they’re a chance to feel good, make connections, and enjoy being part of your local community. Why not give one a try?
