A fun, safe way for children to walk to school together, supervised by adults and following a set route

Our Community Wellbeing Team recently visited Witney Community Primary School to talk to pupils about launching a Walking Bus in March and the response from the children was overwhelmingly positive.

So, what is a Walking Bus?

It’s a fun, safe way for children to walk to school together, supervised by adults and following a set route. Children can join in along the way, just like a bus - but on foot!

Walking Buses help children stay active, build confidence, make friends and reduce traffic around schools🚦

📅 The Walking Bus will run every school day
🗺️ Routes will be shaped by the families who sign up

We’re looking forward to supporting the school to get it moving.
