Council plans to introduce a maximum stay of six hours within any 12-hour period

New parking measures are being proposed for Kilkenny Lane Country Park in Brize Norton to help ensure the car park remains available for residents and visitors.

West Oxfordshire District Council owns and maintains the country park as a free and accessible green space, but there have been increasing public reports of misuse of the car park, including overnight parking, camping, barbecues and littering.

To address this, the Council plans to introduce a maximum stay of six hours within any 12-hour period and install signage making clear that camping and sleeping are not permitted. The site would also be included in the Council’s existing parking enforcement patrols.

The proposals will now go out to public consultation before any changes are introduced.
