WODC is celebrating the success of the Westhive community crowdfunding programme

West Oxfordshire District Council is celebrating the success of its Westhive community crowdfunding programme, which has supported 28 local projects since 2023 and helped raise almost £950,000 for community-led ideas. From youth activities and heritage restoration to mental health support and food-waste initiatives, the programme highlights the power of communities coming together to create positive change.

Looking ahead, the programme will move to a new provider, Crowdfunder UK, from April 2026, following a review shaped by community feedback. This change will make it even easier and more accessible for local groups to launch projects and attract support.

The sixth and final round of Westhive will launch in January 2026. If you have a community project or idea and would like support to fundraise, you’re invited to join our free online workshop on Wednesday 14 January, 1.15pm - 2.15pm.
