West Oxfordshire District Council are proposing a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) for dog fouling.
 
In short, WODC are looking to introduce a district-wide order making it an offence for someone in control of a dog to fail to remove its faeces from land covered by the order. This follows over 63 reports of dog fouling across the district over the last 3 years, and is really just standard procedure more than anything, it's a district-wide measure that encompasses the whole of West Oxfordshire, including Ducklington, rather than anything specific to us.
 
The consultation runs from
24th July to 4th September 2026, and there's a fairly simple online questionnaire available here if anyone (public or council) wants to have a look or comment themselves:
