Community Infrastructure Levy approved

The Levy will help ensure new developments contribute to local services and facilities

West Oxfordshire District Council has approved the introduction of a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) to help ensure new developments contribute to local services and facilities.

CIL is a charge on certain new developments that will help fund roads, schools, green spaces and community facilities. A share of the funding will go directly to the town or parish where the development takes place, supporting local priorities.

Councillor Hugo Ashton said CIL will help deliver sustainable, well-supported growth across the district.
