Some reminders for voting in the Local Elections

Don't forget your ID!
REMEMBER if you are voting in person at the local elections on
Thursday 7 May you must bring a valid form of photo ID with you to vote.
If you do not bring any ID you will not be allowed to vote and will be asked to return with valid ID.
You can still use your photo ID if it's out of date, as long as it looks like you. Acceptable forms of ID include:
- Passport
- Drivers License
- A Blue Badge
- Older or Disabled Persons Bus Pass
- UK Biometric Residence Permit
- European Economic Area (EEA) photo ID Card
- An identity card bearing the Proof of Age Standards Scheme hologram (PASS card)
If you don't have a valid form of ID you can apply for an ID to use in the election. Applications are open until 5pm Tuesday 28 April.

Voting by proxy
Are you unable to vote in person on 7 May? Did you know that you can nominate someone to cast your vote for you?
Nominate someone you trust to vote for you – it's called a proxy vote, and it means you don’t have to miss out if you are unable to get to the polling station on election day.
🗓️ Deadline to apply: 5pm on Tuesday 28 April. Your chosen proxy must also be registered to vote.
