Gill Mill gravel expansion plans – have your say

You may have seen the notification posters around the footpaths in the area advising that a planning application has been received for the expansion of the Gill Mill quarry.

Any resident wishing to make a comment to the County Council will need to do so by the 16th May. Details of the planning application are available on the Oxfordshire County Council Website and a brief guide to the expansion – produced by the applicant is available at the Village Hall, the Church, Sports Pavilion and the Public Houses.

The planning application is to allow the current operator to continue to extract gravel for the next 14 years and will include new extraction reaching from the current site to the A40.

This is your opportunity to have your comments registered on the application, the expansion and the restoration and amenity space the extraction will create.
