Groups and organisations in West Oxfordshire have the chance to bid for grants to help with projects to develop arts or heritage opportunities.

West Oxfordshire District Council is offering Community Activities Grants between £100 and £500. To be eligible, projects must be taking place within the District and applicants have to demonstrate that their project will benefit local residents and visitors to West Oxfordshire.

The deadline for applications is Monday 22 April 2013. Application forms can be downloaded from the Council’s website www.westoxon.gov.uk/activitiesgrants. Alternatively, forms are also available by calling 01993 861080.

Cllr Richard Langridge, Cabinet Member for Local Economy and Communities, said: “By safeguarding these grants for another financial year, we are able to continue to support the good work being done by local groups to benefit their communities.”

Various criteria need to be met by grant applicants and more details can be viewed online at www.westoxon.gov.uk/activitiesgrants.
