Resumption of Flying Operations out of RAF Brize Norton

The following was received from the RAF, please direct any questions or comments to the appropriate persons at RAF Brize Norton. Contact details are below:

Ladies and Gents

As you will be aware, the restrictions on flying within UK Air Space have now been lifted and, in line with other civil airports and military bases, RAF Brize Norton has resumed flying operations. The first flight departed from here earlier this morning, and it is hoped that by the week-end we will have returned to our normal schedule.

Over the next 7 – 10 days, it is likely that in addition to our normal flight schedules, there will be an increase in circuit training (which may include night flying) whilst we endeavour to catch up with our programme of essential training for all our aircrew which has been disrupted during the flight restrictions.

I hope that these additional flights will not cause too much disturbance, but would ask for your patience during this time.

If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact either myself or my deputy, Ana Dick.

Kind regards
